Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Testure ("the Service"), operated by an individual developer ("I", "me", "the operator"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use neet.testure.in.

1. Information I Collect

a) Information you provide

Name, email address, and profile photo (via Google Sign-In).
Study activity you input: chapter/topic confidence levels, flashcard progress, onboarding responses (e.g. backlog assessment).
Payment-related metadata such as plan type, payment status, and transaction reference (actual card/UPI details are handled by Cashfree, not stored by me).

b) Information collected automatically

Basic usage data (pages visited, features used, device/browser type) to help fix bugs and improve the product.
Cookies or local storage used to keep you signed in and remember preferences like your selected theme.

2. How I Use Your Information

To provide core features: syllabus tracking, flashcards, dashboard metrics, and the notes marketplace.
To process payments and manage your subscription/trial status.
To communicate important account or service updates (e.g. trial ending, payment failure, grace period).
To diagnose bugs and improve the Service.
To enforce these policies and prevent misuse.

I do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Authentication via Google

Testure uses Google Sign-In (Google Identity Services) for authentication. I receive basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) from Google to create and manage your account. I do not receive your Google password.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Cashfree, a third-party payment gateway. When you make a payment, your payment details are handled directly by Cashfree under its own privacy and security practices. I only receive confirmation of payment status (success/ failure) and basic transaction metadata, not your full card or bank details.

5. Data Storage

Your account and study data is stored using Supabase (a third-party backend/database provider) with access-control rules restricting who can view your data. Reasonable technical measures are used to protect your data, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

6. Account Deletion & Data Retention

If your subscription lapses and is not renewed within the grace period communicated in-app, your account and associated data may be permanently deleted as part of routine account lifecycle cleanup. You may also request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting the email below.

Some minimal records (such as transaction logs) may be retained longer where required for accounting, fraud-prevention, or legal purposes.

7. Sharing of Information

I do not share your personal data with third parties except:

Service providers necessary to operate Testure (e.g. Supabase for hosting/database, Cashfree for payments, Google for authentication).
If required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the Service.

8. Cookies

Testure uses cookies/local storage primarily for authentication (keeping you signed in) and for remembering your UI theme preference. These are functional, not used for third-party advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

Testure is built for NEET aspirants, many of whom are minors. I do not knowingly collect more information than necessary for the Service to function. If you are under 18, please use Testure with awareness from a parent or guardian, especially regarding payments.

10. Your Rights

You may, at any time:

Request a copy of the personal data associated with your account.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
